Who are we?
Toi Tū Kids Service is a team partnership between Te Hononga o Tāmaki me Hoturoa and Starship Hospital General Paediatrics. Our unique team provides expert health and social support for children (tamariki), young people (taitamariki) and their families (whānau) in a community based environment.
Our team of dedicated health professionals consists of:
- Nurse Practitioner
- Starship Paediatricians
- Community Health Workers

- Skin infections
- Bed wetting
- Soiling / Constipation
- Behaviour concerns
- Nutrition and Growth concerns
- Social assistance
- Parenting support

How can we help you?
We are here to assist you with education, assistance, and advocacy for all issues related to children’s health, such as:
- Providing expert child health advice and care.
- Supporting you around the health system, including referrals.
- Transporting to and supporting with appointments
- Advocacy and support with any family needs.
- Accessing immunisations and dental programmes.
If we cannot assist you ourselves, we can advise you as to whom your child would be best referred to.
Who is this service for?
This service is provided to:
- Children and young people aged 0 – 18 years.
- Resides within the Auckland DHB catchment area.
How do we work?
Once we have received your referral our Community Health Worker will contact you to make an appointment at a location and time that suits you.
We work in a team that includes Starship doctors, nurse practitioner and community health workers.
